General Patrol officers from the North District caught sight of a stolen black Honda Civic being driven northbound Powers Street towards Mountain Avenue yesterday evening.

Officers initiated a pursuit in an attempt to stop the vehicle, the driver fled in a dangerous manner to evade police. With the assistance from Air1 who provided visual containment of the fleeing vehicle, ground units from multiple divisions were directed to the 100 block of Clearwater Road. The vehicle was contained, the driver was taken from the vehicle and arrested.
Police found approximately 2.5 g of Methamphetamine, and approximately 3 g of Fentanyl on the 47-year-old Winnipeg man who was then charged.
