In the early hours of Sunday morning, Cross Lake RCMP responded to a report of a possible stabbing at a high school on Saggitawak Road. Police and emergency medical services found a 16-year-old male suffering from serious, life-altering injuries.

According to information gathered by RCMP at the scene, the incident occurred when a group of youths were on the school grounds, and another group of males arrived. A physical altercation broke out, resulting in the severe injury of the teenager.
The victim was initially treated at the Cross Lake Nursing Station before being airlifted to Winnipeg, where he underwent emergency surgery. He remains in critical condition.
Cross Lake RCMP are actively investigating the incident and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
