Thompson RCMP have arrested a 33-year-old man from Winnipeg after a report of a sexual assault on Mystery Lake Road in Thompson.

At approximately 2:30 p.m. on January 14, RCMP received a complaint from a 17-year-old female victim who reported the assault at a local business. The victim, who was not physically injured, provided a description of the male suspect. This description matched that of a suspicious individual reported earlier in the day.
Officers, with help from the public, located the suspect near a residence on Westwood Avenue. He was arrested without incident.
The man has been charged with sexual assault and failure to comply with probation order.
