People living in the Waverley West neighbourhood will face traffic disruptions starting Thursday night to allow for the delivery of a new interim modular Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service station.

The station will be assembled at 130 Eaglewood Drive after its overnight delivery. Construction crews are expected to complete the assembly on Friday and Saturday.
During this time, southbound lanes of Eaglewood Drive, from Skyline Drive to the entrance of the Element on Eaglewood complex, will be closed from 8 p.m. Thursday until 8 p.m. on Saturday. The closure may end earlier as work progresses. “No Parking” signs will be posted along both sides of Eaglewood Drive from Waverley Street to Skyline Drive. Southbound traffic will be diverted to the left side of the north lane, and the west sidewalk on Eaglewood Drive will be closed, with pedestrians directed to use the east sidewalk.
Construction equipment will be active in the area, and residents are asked to avoid the site for safety during the work.
