The vehicle was located in a bushy area southeast of Sturgeon Road and Prairie Dog Trail, along with a side-by-side ATV and trailer.

As officers approached, the driver of the vehicle attempted to flee into the bush but the vehicle became stuck in a marsh. A lengthy foot pursuit and two men were arrested.

Police said the vehicle was used in a commercial break and enter earlier that day in West St. Paul. At around 5 a.m., a fence was breached in the first block of Emes Road and a CF Moto UForce 1000 XL ATV was loaded onto a trailer and hauled off with the stolen Ridgeline. Police believe this is connected to other break-and-enter incidents dating back to August.

A 36-year-old man from Winnipeg has been charged with break and enter, theft under $5,000, and failure to comply with a release order. He remains in custody. A 39-year-old male from Winnipeg is facing similar charges and was released as mandated by the criminal code.
