Two people are dead after a head-on collision on Highway 7 in which one vehicle was driving the wrong way.
Stonewall RCMP said it was contacted about an SUV headed north in the southbound lane of the divided highway at about 5:25 p.m. on Oct. 15.
Less than five minutes later, officers found the SUV had collided with a pickup truck about 500 metres north of Road 73 North near Stony Mountain.
The SUV was on fire and the driver, who has not been identified, was killed. Officers gave CPR to a 36-year-old male from Teulon who was driving the pickup truck but he died at the scene.
