Two people were taken to hospital, one in unstable condition, after a fire late Wednesday night at a townhouse on Tyndall Avenue.
Firefighters were sent to a two-storey building in the first 100 block of Tyndall Avenue at 11:26 p.m., and found smoke coming from the building. The fire was declared under control at 11:52 p.m.

Some residents evacuated before crews arrived, while firefighters helped some get out of the townhouse. Four people were assessed by paramedics at the scene, with two taken to hospital — one in unstable condition, the other stable.
Most of the damage was contained to the suite where the fire started. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
