Winnipeg police officers responded to a commercial break-and-enter on Sep. 14. Police found damage to the business, including a large broken window. Further investigation led to the identification of a male youth, who was later arrested at a hospital where he sought medical attention for an injury police said was sustained during the break-in.

The Major Crimes Unit took over the investigation, revealing that a second break-and-enter occurred at the same business on Sept. 1. A second male youth was identified as a suspect and warrants for both suspects were issued.

The total damage to the business is estimated at more than $2,600, with the value of stolen items exceeding $1,200. On Oct. 3, both suspects were arrested.
