What’s open and closed in Winnipeg on Christmas Day:

The Winnipeg Sun will not have an edition on Christmas Day nor will we be printing on Boxing Day or Dec. 27 as we take time to celebrate the season with family and friends as we hope you will as well.
As always, we’ll be updating winnipegsun.com during that period with the latest in breaking news, sports, and entertainment.
Most of the city malls will be closed on Christmas Day and will return to business on Boxing Day.
All Liquor Marts in Winnipeg and Brandon will be closed on Christmas and most will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m on Boxing Day.
Recycling and garbage will not be collected on Christmas Day. If your collection day falls on the holiday, put your carts out one day later. The Brady Road Resource Management Facility (Brady Road Landfill) and all 4R Winnipeg Depots are closed on Wednesday.
Winnipeg Transit will operate on a Sunday schedule on Wednesday and Thursday. All city libraries, leisure centres, and indoor pools will be closed on Wednesday as will Animal Services Agency and the Winnipeg Parking Authority.
Winnipeg’s cemeteries may be open to visitors, however, it’s best to check to ensure the one you want to visit is open.
Canadian Museum for Human Rights, the Manitoba Museum, the Winnipeg Art Gallery-Qaumajuq and The Assiniboine Park Zoo will be closed on Wednesday.
