Winnipeg Police are seeking public assistance after being informed by Manitoba Justice that an inmate was mistakenly released on Tuesday. The Major Crimes Unit is working to locate 27-year-old Mark Phillip Traverse, who was released in error.
Traverse is described as approximately 6-foot-1 and 183 pounds, with a medium build, short brown hair, and brown eyes. While he is not considered armed or dangerous, police advise the public not to approach him.
Investigators believe Traverse is in Winnipeg or the surrounding area. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is urged to contact the Major Crimes Unit or Crime Stoppers.
