Alert issued for missing man, 39

Winnipeg police have issued a public alert for a man whose family had said was missing earlier this week.

Aaron Everett Sinclair’s family last heard from him in a text on Aug. 2 and on social media Aug. 10.

On Tuesday, his family gathered at the Manitoba Keewatinowi Okimakanak office in Winnipeg to seek help searching for him.

Police issued a missing person alert Friday afternoon that says Sinclair, 39, was last seen near Selkirk Avenue and McPhillips Street on Aug. 10. He is known to frequent the Inkster and Unicity areas of Winnipeg.

The Pimicikamak Cree Nation man has been living in Winnipeg for about a year.

Sinclair is described as 5-9 with a medium build, long wavy brown hair that’s usually worn in a bun, hazel eyes and a medium-length brown beard.

His mother, Joanne Sinclair, said he had regularly reached out to relatives before going missing.
