Three Manitoba businesses have been named to the 25th annual Canada’s Top 100 Employers list.
Mediacorp Canada Inc., a publisher of employment periodicals, released the list Sunday. It includes Aboriginal Peoples Television Network, IGM Financial and StandardAero, each headquartered in Winnipeg.
Editors at Mediacorp (canadastop100.com) review employers on a variety of criteria, including work atmosphere, health benefits, vacation, skills development and community involvement.
The employee development APTN offers and the amount of vacation time employees receive stood out to editors, who also selected the company as one of Canada’s top employers for young people.
IGM Financial was noted for its support of hundreds of charitable initiatives. It was selected as one of Canada’s best diversity employers and one of the country’s greenest employers.
StandardAero, a company that specializes in gas turbine engine maintenance and repair, earned kudos for its apprenticeships, paid internships, formal mentoring and summer employment opportunities.
