Police investigating serious assault at Main Street hotel

Winnipeg police are investigating after a serious assault left a woman in unstable condition early Saturday morning.
Constable Jason Michalyshen said police were called to the Manwin Hotel in the 600 block of Main Street just after 6 a.m. Saturday. A woman at the scene was taken to hospital in unstable condition but she has since stabilized.
Michalyshen said the woman was potentially assaulted with a weapon. Police were on scene for several hours, leaving at around 10 a.m. The investigation continues.
