Investigators have shared more details and released security images related to the killing of Charles Danny Chartrand, who died in hospital after being stabbed at a home on the 200 block of Fountain Street at about 3:15 a.m. on Feb. 3.

Police believe the two people have “valuable information” that would help the homicide investigation and are asking anyone with information about them to come forward.

The Winnipeg Police Service also continues its search for 30-year-old Tyron Custer Harper, who is wanted on a second-degree murder warrant in the Feb. 25 killing of 26-year-old Kevin Delaney Flett. Flett was fatally injured in the area of Maryland Street and Wellington Avenue.

Harper was charged with second-degree murder in the December 2016 killing of Clarence Ignace, 25, who died after being stabbed at a public housing complex at 444 Kennedy St. Harper pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of manslaughter in 2018 and was sentenced to seven years, less time served.

Harper pleaded guilty to one count of being unlawfully at large in March 2023 and was sentenced to 39 days in jail.

Investigators are warning the public not to approach Harper because he is considered dangerous.

Police are asking anyone with information about either case to contact the WPS homicide unit at 204-986-6508, or Crime Stoppers anonymously at 204-786-8477 (TIPS) or winnipegcrimestoppers.org.
