A Manitoba judge has ordered protesters at Lemay Forest can remain encamped on adjacent city-owned land — but cannot impede contractors from cutting trees on the property.
Court of King’s Bench Justice Sarah Inness granted an interim injunction request last week.
The court ordered numerous defendants suspected to have taken part in the protest at the St. Norbert property to leave the site and refrain from blocking the property owner from accessing it.
At a contested hearing Monday, Inness extended the interim request under the same terms until a further court date.
